Loofah Light Ceramics Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "we" / "the Company") and its brand Mauolah Muse respect your legal rights to the privacy of your personal data. This Privacy Policy Statement (hereinafter referred to as "this Statement") sets out our policies and practices in collecting, storing, using, transferring and protecting your personal data, and strictly complies with all relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of the Laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as "the Ordinance"). We collect personal data solely for lawful and relevant business purposes, and take all practicable steps to ensure the accuracy of the personal data we hold, as well as to safeguard the security of such data and prevent unauthorized access, erasure, use or disclosure thereof.
Please read this Statement carefully to understand our rules governing the processing of your personal data. This Statement applies to your personal data collected by us through Mauolah Muse's official website, social media platforms, physical art space, electronic communications, event registrations and other data collection channels designed and managed by the Company (hereinafter referred to as "Data Collection Channels"). We reserve the right to revise or update this Statement from time to time in accordance with actual operational needs; the revised version will be published through the relevant Data Collection Channels and shall take effect on the date of publication.
In the event of any inconsistency between the English version and the Chinese version of this Statement, the Chinese version shall prevail. The term "personal data" mentioned in this Statement shall have the same meaning as defined in the Ordinance.


1. Collection and Use of Personal Data
We only collect personal data that is reasonably necessary to provide you with Mauolah Muse's relevant services, products, events and promotional information, including but not limited to your name, telephone number, email address, residential area and event registration information (hereinafter referred to as "Personal Data"). You are not legally obliged to provide us with any Personal Data, however, if you choose not to do so, we may be unable to provide you with the relevant products, services, event participation eligibility or promotional information.
The Personal Data we collect shall only be used for the following lawful and directly relevant purposes:
Providing, managing and marketing Mauolah Muse's ceramic art products, art experience services, exhibition events and relevant preferential promotions to you;
Verifying your identity, and processing your applications and enquiries such as product purchases, experience reservations and exhibition registrations;
Maintaining and optimizing the services and facilities of Mauolah Muse's physical art space (Unit H211, PMQ, Hong Kong) and online platforms;
Conducting market research and statistical analysis to optimize product and service experiences, and promote Hong Kong's local ceramic art culture;
Sending you information that you may be interested in, including art exhibitions, workshops, new product launches and relevant art promotion content;
Reconciling data relating to you to ensure the accuracy of services and communications;
Complying with the legally binding provisions applicable to the Company, or with the guidelines and codes of practice issued by regulatory authorities;
Other reasonable purposes with your consent or prior notification.
If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain the written consent of your parent or legal guardian before providing any Personal Data to us.


2. Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data
We will take all practicable steps to keep your Personal Data strictly confidential. We may transfer, assign or exchange your Personal Data to the following parties (whether located in or outside Hong Kong) solely for the purposes set out in Clause 1 of this Statement:
Agents, contractors or third-party service providers that provide the Company with commercial operation services such as administration, telecommunications, computer technology, logistics and distribution, and marketing (all such third parties have assumed confidentiality obligations);
Business partners that cooperate with the Company in organizing art exhibitions, product research and development, and event promotions (all such partners have assumed confidentiality obligations);
Any person or institution to whom the Company is obliged to disclose data pursuant to legal requirements or the requests of judicial or regulatory authorities.
Save as expressly provided in this Statement and with your prior written consent, we shall not disclose, transfer or exchange your Personal Data to any third party other than the above-mentioned parties.


3. Provisions on the Use of Personal Data for Direct Marketing
We intend to use the Personal Data we hold for the direct marketing of Mauolah Muse's ceramic art products, art experiences, exhibition events, workshops and relevant preferential promotions. The aforesaid products and services may be provided by the Company and/or its business partners, agents and contractors.
We also intend to provide your Personal Data to the aforesaid partners for their use in the direct marketing of the aforesaid products and services, and such use shall be subject to your prior written consent (including an indication of no objection).
We may only use your Personal Data for the aforesaid direct marketing purposes, or provide such Personal Data to partners for such purposes, upon obtaining your written consent.
You have the right to withdraw your consent to the use of your Personal Data for direct marketing at any time. If you wish to withdraw your consent, you may notify us in writing in accordance with the contact details set out in Clause 8 of this Statement. We will process your withdrawal request free of charge and ensure that your Personal Data will no longer be used for any subsequent direct marketing activities.
Your failure to provide Personal Data or withdrawal of consent to direct marketing shall not affect your enjoyment of the basic products and services of the Company; you may only be unable to receive relevant promotional information.

This Statement applies only to the Data Collection Channels of the Company. If you click on any advertisement or hyperlink through our official website or social media pages and are directed to other third-party websites, the privacy policies of such third-party websites are unrelated to this Statement, and we shall not be liable for the protection of personal data on such websites. When browsing third-party websites, you are advised to refer to their privacy policies (if any) on your own.


5. Web Logs and Collection of Non-Identifiable Data
When you browse Mauolah Muse's official website, we may collect non-identifiable web log data (including the number of visits, page browsing trails, etc.). Such data is used solely for statistical analysis to optimize the website experience, and will not identify your personal identity nor constitute Personal Data.


6. Security Protection of Personal Data
Save as provided in Clause 2 of this Statement, your Personal Data (whether stored in electronic or written form) may only be accessed and processed by the Company's authorized employees and contractors who have assumed confidentiality obligations. All authorized personnel handling Personal Data have received relevant training and must process such data in strict accordance with the provisions of this Statement and the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong.
We have adopted industry-standard technical and administrative measures to protect Personal Data from unauthorized access, erasure, alteration or loss, including but not limited to data encryption, access control, and security protection of storage devices.


7. Use of Personal Data in Legal Proceedings
If we are required to take legal action against you for any reason (including but not limited to recovering product payments, service fees or other sums owed to the Company by you), you expressly agree that we may identify your identity by virtue of the Personal Data you provided and use such data in legal proceedings.


8. Your Rights in Respect of Personal Data
Pursuant to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong, you have the right to:
Access the Personal Data relating to you held by us and request verification of the accuracy of such data at any time;
Request us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data;
Enquire about the Company's policies and practices in respect of personal data processing, and the types of personal data held by the Company;
Lodge a complaint against the Company's personal data processing acts.
If you wish to exercise the aforesaid rights, please contact the Data Protection Officer of the Company in writing, mark your communication with the words "Personal Data Access/Correction/Complaint (Confidential)", and provide your basic information such as name and contact details to enable us to verify your identity.
We will respond to your written request within 30 days of receipt and use our best endeavours to meet your lawful request. For requests for access to Personal Data, we may charge you a reasonable administrative fee in accordance with the provisions of the laws of Hong Kong.


9. Retention of Personal Data
We will retain your Personal Data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, unless the retention period needs to be extended pursuant to applicable laws, regulations or contractual obligations.
When Personal Data is no longer of use and there is no legal or contractual obligation to retain it, we will destroy or delete such data in a secure manner to ensure that it will not be accessed or used without authorization.

11. Disclaimer
The Company has exercised reasonable care and diligence in performing its obligations under this Statement and the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong. The Company shall not be liable for any loss, disclosure or damage of Personal Data caused by factors beyond the reasonable control of the Company, including but not limited to computer system failures, cyber attacks, natural disasters and changes in laws.


12. Copyright and Interpretation
The copyright in this Privacy Policy Statement shall vest in Loofah Light Ceramics Company Limited. The Company shall have the final right of interpretation in respect of this Statement.
